2005 International Results

It was disappointing that there weren't more Selkirk Rex people at this show. We had a good representation in the kitten class (14 entered - 10 showed up), but only had 1 LH (2 entered) and 2 SH in Championship. There was only 1 SH in Premiership. The show was a great chance to show off our breed, because this year we weren't hidden in a corner. We were in the front row facing not only 4 judging rings, but where the "Best of the Best" was being held. We had so many people crowded around our row, looking at all the kittens and the adults, other people almost couldn't get past! And we did fill up the whole row, except for one double cage at the very end.

I had planned to have pictures, but my old digital camera passed away a couple of weeks earlier and the new digital I had took some getting used to.

The International in 2006 will be in San Mateo once again, so I urge all of you to make plans (and save your money) to make it out to this great show. The gate this year apparently set new records for the International and I sold kittens that were only 2 months old! They weren't at the show hall, but after Patti and Lynn sold all the kittens they had brought to sell, they sent people to me and I sold the kittens, sight unseen. If we had had more kittens between us, we probably could have sold them all. I could have sold Zammy a couple dozen times.
